From the College’s Division I fall sports teams, 102 students were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the honor roll, student athletes need to record at least a 3.20 grade point average during the semester.

The men’s and women’s cross country teams combined for 14 honor roll students. Lauren Kelly ’12 (Philadelphia, Pa.), an economics major; Erika Stasakova ’12 (Bel Air, Md.), a double major in international affairs and Spanish; Grace Watters ’15 (Red Bank, N.J.); and Rose Willey ’12 (Brookfield, Conn.), a mathematics-economics major, led the way with 4.0 GPAs.

Nine students from the 2011 Patriot League Champion field hockey team were selected to the honor roll. Nicola Coakley ’15 (Road Devon, Pa.) led the team with a 3.83 GPA.

The football program had 28 members earn a place on the honor roll. Brandon Ellis ’12 (Jeffersonville, Pa.), an economics major, and Anthony Baker ’15 (Kensington, N.H) were two of just three Patriot League football players to register a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester.

Previously, Ellis was named a Capital One Academic All-District selection and secured a place on the FCS Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team in addition to the Academic All-Patriot League Team in the fall.

A league-best 21 members of the men’s soccer team are on the honor roll. The Leopards’ selections were by far the most of any Patriot League team, followed by American with 14 students.

Graham Heydt ’12 (Northbrook, Ill.), a mathematics-economics major, led the team with a 3.90 GPA. Heydt and Blake Fink ’13 (Westampton, N.J.), a government and law major with a 3.75 fall GPA, also earned NSCAA Scholar All-East and Academic All-Patriot League laurels for their efforts in the classroom during the 2011 season. Collectively, the men’s soccer program boasted a 3.40 GPA in the fall.

Luke Calvano ’12 (Eastampton, N.J.), an economics and policy studies double major, earned a 3.60 GPA and has been on the honor roll for four consecutive years. Heydt, Jake Johnson ’12 (Niskayuna, N.Y.), an English major, and Wayne Maminski ’12 (Philadelphia, Pa.), an economics major, have each been recognized for a third time.

Academic success has been a constant during Dennis Bohn‘s 11-year tenure as men’s soccer head coach. His student-athletes have earned five consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Awards and combined for 131 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections.

The women’s soccer team has 18 students named to the honor roll. Meredith McCann ’12 (Hingham, Mass.), a double major in economics and policy studies, led the team with a 4.0 GPA. In addition to McCann, five other students have been named to the honor roll four times: Angela CampoBasso ’12 (Lancaster, Mass.), a biochemistry major; Gina Milone ’12 (Massapequa, N.Y.), a biology major; Shannon Neschke ’12 (Still River, Mass.), a policy studies major; Janelle Pierson ’12 (Coral Springs, Fla.), an economics major; and Natalie Stone ’12 (Wilmette, Ill.), an English and policy studies double major.

A league-best 12 members of the volleyball team have been recognized as members of the honor roll. Michelle Woodworth ’15 (Seattle, Wash.), led the team with a 3.75 GPA. Collectively, the volleyball squad posted a 3.27 GPA in the fall semester.
