Lafayette embarked upon a new era Oct. 4 with the inauguration of Alison Byerly as the College’s 17th president. The Inaugural Convocation on the Quad headlined the historic day. Other events included a panel discussion on “New Models for Higher Education,” a luncheon and dinner, the Inaugural Ball, a student video contest, and a virtual conference on the future of the liberal arts. Inauguration Panel Discussion

In conjunction with the inauguration, three leaders in higher education shared ideas during a panel discussion on “New Models for Higher Education.” Provost Wendy Hill served as moderator.
