The Theater Department presented its production of the roller-skating musical Xanadu Nov. 5-8 in the Williams Center. Based on the 1980 cult film classic, the musical is a light-hearted spoof of matters both earthly and mythical, as a Greek muse sent from Mount Olympus to inspire the mortals of California’s Venice Beach meets and falls in love with an artist and helps him realize his dreams. It was directed by Mary Jo Lodge, associate professor of theater.
