The Lafayette College Orchestra will present its annual spring concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16, in the Williams Center for the Arts. The performance is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the concert.
The orchestra is led by Marka Young, who also directs string ensembles at Lafayette. “The diverse and challenging program will include selections from by Edvard Grieg, B minor Suite by J. S. Bach, and the Piano Concerto #1 by Ludwig van Beethoven,” she says.
The piano soloist will be senior Feiyu Wang of Roseville, Minn., a piano student of Lafayette instructor Alexis Firstenberg Fisher and an award-winning electrical engineering major.
