West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. named Donald E. Morel Jr. '79 president and chief operating officer. He joined the company in 1992 as director of research and development. Since then, he has held increasingly responsible positions, including group president of device product development, and most recently, division president, drug delivery systems. A metallurgical engineering graduate, he received his Ph.D. from Cornell University.
West Pharmaceutical Services, Lionville, Pa., develops and applies technologies to enhance the delivery of new drug therapies and health care products to global markets. Technologies include the design and manufacture of packaging components for pharmaceutical, health care, and consumer products; research and development of drug delivery systems; and contract laboratory services.
