						The Men’s Volleyball Club lost a close match (23-25, 25-19, 24-26, 22-25) against Penn State University-Berks Saturday afternoon at Kamine Gymnasium, Kirby Sports Center.
Kyle DeLabar ’05 led the team (7-5) with 18 kills. Leaders in digs were DeLabar, computer science major Dan Huber ’02, and Eric Bryant ’04 with six each. Bryant, a setter, also recorded 45 assists, while mechanical engineering major Brian Holt ’02 had 10 blocks.
Other Volleyball Club athletes are first-year students Doug Fox, Wayne Scott, and Ryan Waite; sophomore chemical engineering major Ryan Van Horn; junior government and law major Jeff Baum; and senior psychology major Paul Dzelzgalvis. Erin Brune ’05 is team manager.
The team will play a tri-match against Drexel and Shippensburg universities 1 p.m. Saturday in Kamine Gym. The next few weeks are crucial as Lafayette seeks to secure a spot in the April 6 championship tournament at Messiah College.
