Along with leading the financial, business development, and legal departments, Paul H. Snyder ’69 is also overseeing information technology in his new position as executive vice president of DecisionOne. He retained his responsibilities as chief financial officer from his previous position as senior vice president and CFO. He joined the company in February 2001 and was named corporate secretary in February 2002.
Headquartered in Frazer, Pa., DecisionOne is the largest independent provider of multivendor information technology services in North America. “We do a lot of work for manufacturers in the technology sector, and many have experienced a business slowdown,” says Snyder. “One of our biggest challenges is to maintain revenues and seek out new sources of revenue.”
Snyder was previously senior vice president, CFO, and director at Salient 3 Communications, Inc., and senior vice president and CFO with Mellon Bank Corporation.
“I was a history major and took one accounting course, so I had just an introduction to accounting and finance,” says Snyder, who went on to earn an M.B.A. in accounting and finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
