Lee Goldfarb – President
– Mitch Feld from Hillel came in to talk to us about supporting giving of flowers to women of the Third Street Alliance for Valentines Day.
– The Student Government webpage is being updated.
– Editorial for the school paper will be written this week after our goal-setting session.
– Looking to restart weekly bus trips to the mall.
– Saturday Feb. 8 is the leadership conference. All freshmen and sophomores must attend.
– We signed up to support Black History Month programs throughout February.
– A small recap of the trustee meeting was presented.
– The schedule for Prologue was revised.
– Goal-setting session and dates were established.
Liz Koskinen – Vice President
-Waiting to hear from Neil McElroy about setting up a meeting regarding library hours.
-Met with Professor Slaght and discussed the upcoming semester.
-Faculty meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:10 pm.
-Met with Colby, Sarah, Dan and Ryan and discussed possible speaker ideas.
-Two ideas are: a speaker on eating disorders or a debate among professors.
-We are looking for new associate reps for this year. The applications are due Friday, February 14.
Charlotte Smith – Secretary
-A list is being submitted to Plant Operations for release of the keys to the Student Government Office to all new Student Government members.
-Office Hours were established for the month of February on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12-1 pm.
Jon Cohn — Treasurer
-Hillel came in to ask for our support with the Third Street Alliance.
James LaBuz – Student Life
-A committee has been established to talk about on-campus events and ways to increase things to do on campus on the weekends.
Dan LaTerra – Greek Liaison
-Would like to organize a debate between professors and/or students in March. Possible ideas include cloning and abortion.
– Would like to organize a weekly social function at a different fraternity each week that would be alcohol-free. Security would be provided and Student Government would sponsor it.
– Ideas for Greek Week are in circulation. Possible events could include Fraternity Feud.
– Re-instatement of Safe-Rides is being looked into.
Colby Block – Public Relations
-Talked with Liz about speakers for this month.
-Went to Professor Silverstein about an abortion debate.
-Talked with Jodie about a dance clinic.
Andrew Kasman – Campus Student Services
-Looking into shuttle buses.
-Trying to meet with head of public safety and plant-ops.
Ryan Lawlis – Student Organizations
-Setting up a meeting with Jessica Jamhoury about a club handbook.
-Sent a mass email to all organizations informing them of my position. There was only one acknowledgment so far.
-Told Kelly Deemer in Student Activities about myself.
Josie Dykstra — Community Affairs
-Had a meeting with Mitch Feld from Third Street Alliance.
-Met with Kate Wick and discussed the blood drive and volunteer day.
Sarah Hazel — Student Life
-FCC is having its first meeting at 5 pm Tuesday. We will be setting a meeting time for the rest of the semester at this meeting.
Susan Anamier — Multicultural Affairs
-Prologue weekend is approaching and Student Government is going to help. We finalized which member can attend which prologue events.
