Carrie Spell, assistant dean of students and director of intercultural development, will give a presentation at a workshop on “Developing Strategies for Cross Cultural Organizational Learning” at the Society of Organizational Learning’s first Global Forum June 11-14 in Espoo, Finland.

The session will facilitate dialogue about “how organizations can identify potential opportunities to develop effective learning capacities from diverse resources and differing social processes, and how they can develop strategies that integrate varying knowledge resources and learning processes to build on cross-cultural differences,” according to organizers.

The theme of the Global Forum is “Learning in Organizations – Inventing Desired Futures in a Global Society.” It will offer case studies, tools and methods, and opportunities for dialogue in the belief that “immersion in diversity has unpredictable but clear benefit.”
