Paige Macdonald-Matthes ’89, an attorney in the Harrisburg office of Saul Ewing LLP, was recently named one of Central Pennsylvania’s “Forty Under 40” by Central Penn Business Journal. Honorees are selected for their professional success and community involvement.

Macdonald-Matthes joined Ewing’s litigation department in 2000, focusing her practice on general commercial and business litigation, including various sized commercial contract and liability disputes. She is a former adjunct faculty member at Harrisburg Area Community College, where she taught courses in civil and family law. Active in her community, Macdonald-Matthes serves as event chairwoman for the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and recently was elected to its board. She is a member of the Harrisburg Jewish Community Center’s Early Childhood Committee and is a past member of the advisory board of Pinnacle Health’s Womancare.

A member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at Lafayette, Macdonald-Matthes serves as alumnae adviser to Dickinson College Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter. She represents the Class of 1989 on Lafayette Alumni Council and expects to help organize her class’s upcoming 15th reunion.

Macdonald-Matthes, an International Affairs graduate, says Professors Richard Sharpless, John McCartney, and Robert Weiner were particularly helpful in guiding her honors thesis work. She received her law degree from Widener University School of Law.
