Starting Monday, Spirit Week will feature events leading up to Saturday’s annual football game against archrival Lehigh.

Spirit Week banners are due at the Student Government Office Monday. A pizza party will be thrown for the group creating what judges consider to be the best banner.

A karaoke contest will be held 10 p.m. Tuesday at Gilbert’s. A prize will be awarded for the best performance.

Students can compete for prizes based on distance and accuracy at Throw Like a Football Player noon Wednesday in the lower level of the Farinon Center. At 9:30 p.m., “tailgating” and a free screening of the inspirational football film Rudy will take place in Limburg Theater of the Farinon Center.

A pie-eating contest with prizes will be held noon Thursday in the lower level of the Farinon Center. Turkey bowling, a giant Twister tournament, and NFL Playstation will be played 7 p.m. in Kamine Gymnasium. Free snacks will be served.

Students are asked to wear their Lafayette gear Friday, with prizes going to the “craziest Leopards.” A mechanical bull will dare riders at noon in the Farinon Center Atrium. The doors at Kamine Gymnasium will open 5:15 p.m. for the Pep Rally, which will begin at 5:45 p.m., featuring games, contests, prizes, music, and more. Comedian Dan Ahdoot will perform 10 p.m. at the Farinon Snack Bar, and the rock band 2 Skinny Dorks will give a concert at midnight in the Farinon Atrium.

Spirit Week is sponsored by the Dean of Students Office, Hillel Society, Lafayette Activities Forum, Panhellenic Council, Recreation Services, Residence Hall Council, and Student Government.
