As the holiday season is upon us again and the year draws to close, we hope that you have found the information in the Marquis Mailer exciting and useful as well as being an easy, convenient way to stay connected to the College.

The continued growth of our school demands that we, as an alumni body, strive to stay relevant and responsive to the mission of the College. Disseminating information effectively and keeping our alumni database as current and complete as possible are key elements of a strong and vigorous Alumni Association. One of the best ways of keeping our records up to date is conducting the process of publishing a new alumni directory. As you know, we are currently working with Harris Publishing on this project and expect to have new directories available by the end of the academic year.

Also, the Alumni Association is in the process of developing a new long-range strategic plan that is more in tune with the rapidly changing and increasingly diverse Lafayette community. It is based on the initiatives that the College leadership identified as necessary to our continued growth as a place of opportunity, excellence, and pride in the document “Beyond Threshold 2000.”

Thank you all for your continued support of Lafayette and have a happy, healthy, and peaceful holiday.

–John Leone, Director of Alumni Affairs
