Stewart ’91 named vice president

Invention Machine Corp.,

a Boston-based provider of

software that “optimizes and

expedites the innovation process” at Global 5000 manufacturing companies, has appointed David Stewart ’91 vice president.

An economics and business graduate, Stewart is responsible for development of global

business partnerships, strategic

alliances, and channel sales management in Europe, Central and South America, and Asia. Stewart joined Invention Machine in July 2002 to manage channel sales and business development worldwide. Previously, he was a manager in the storage software division of Sun Microsystems and at HighGround Systems. Prior to HighGround, Stewart held sales and consulting positions at Vantive and SEER Technologies.

Part of the credit, he said, goes to both Lafayette’s “academic and social” environment.

“A college education is not just about academics, but an environment that must prepare you for all of life’s situations,” says Stewart.
