In a month-long program ending this Sunday, Sears stores are carrying the HomeFront Cards created by alumni to recognize the sacrifices made by military families.

HomeFront Cards can be purchased by one person, a family, or a large organization, and are ordered and personalized with a name, hometown, and words of thanks from the sender. The cards are then placed in a collection box or mailed to a screening and delivery location for delivery to a military family.

With each card purchase of $2, Sears will contribute about $1 to help the National Military Family Association send military children to a unique summer camp. In addition, a book of 100 children’s essays, A Tribute to Military Families: Letters of Thanks for Our Nation’s Children, is available at Sears.com. Proceeds from sales will help NMFA create additional programs that provide support for military families.

HomeFront Cards is a program of Marquis Trust Group LLC, comprised of 14 Class of 1992 graduates. The company has been expanded by founders Michael Waldron, Tom Neale, Constantine (Cony) Chigounis, Scott Craig, Jim Strabo, and Chris Chamides.

“We felt our start-up had taken off to the point that we needed to add additional areas of expertise and knew that the best place to look was within our group of Lafayette classmates,” says Waldron.

More information on Marquis Trust Group is available in an article on the alumni web site.
