Tryouts and rehearsals start this week for the student ensembles sponsored by the music department. Students can join groups on a non-credit or quarter-credit basis.
The first rehearsal for concert choir begins 4:15 p.m. today in Williams Center for the Arts room 123. Choir rehearsals will be held at the same time and location Mondays and Wednesdays this semester. Rehearsals for the Madrigal Singers will be held at today’s initial meeting; those interested in any choral ensembles should attend. To receive credit, register for Music 150. The orchestra will meet 4:15-6:15 p.m. today in Williams Center room 128. String ensembles also will meet for individual scheduling. Students interested in either of the groups, which are directed by Stephani Bell,should bring their instruments. To receive credit, register for Music 153.
