Veteran campus entertainer Dave Binder will return to Lafayette for “The Best of Dave Binder” 10 p.m. tonight at Gilbert’s.
The free concert is sponsored by Lafayette Activities Forum.
After 21 years of touring campuses and over 2,500 shows, Binder’s concerts have become a tradition at colleges throughout the country. He has been a Campus Entertainer of the Year nominee for ten years running.
In his “The Best of Dave Binder” program, he chooses from hundreds of songs by artists such as Jimmy Buffet, Dave Matthews, Goo Goo Dolls, Billy Joel, and the Eagles, creating a customized program to fit each audience. The evening includes sing-a-longs, originals, and classic audience grabbers.
Binder has been playing guitar since age seven and been writing since 10. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Lowell School of Music and an honorary doctorate in musical philosophy from St. Lawrence University.
