Jamie Hughes ’05 recently joined the Office of Alumni Affairs as assistant director, a new position. He will focus on the regional chapters program and young alumni.

Graduating with honors in government and law, Hughes served as captain of the men’s basketball team, an EXCEL Scholar, president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, and counselor for Lafayette’s basketball camp.

He spent a year in Northern Ireland as program director for Playing for Peace, bringing together Protestant and Catholic youth through basketball teamwork. He then competed as a pro basketball player in the Irish Superleague.
