When Shannon Sullivan ’04 and Michael McFadden ’04 were planning a party to celebrate their recent engagement, they turned to Lafayette’s new Alumni Online Community to let friends know about it.
“[Michael] and I used the alumni directory to gather the addresses of many of our Lafayette friends whom we wanted to invite to the party,” says Sullivan, a government & law and Spanish double major and third-year law student.
Sullivan is an active alumna, attending regional alumni chapter events; visiting campus during Homecoming, family, and Lafayette-Lehigh weekends; and participating in her regional sorority alumni network. Despite staying so connected to Lafayette in these ways, Sullivan says the alumni online community has been an excellent resource.
“The alumni directory has proven to be an extremely useful tool for me to keep in touch with friends and gather email addresses,” she explains. “Also, I’ve enjoyed the class notes section—it has been a great way to see what everyone is up to.”
Sullivan invites others to register and participate.
“Sign up!” she says. “It’s a quick and convenient way to stay in touch with Lafayette and other alumni.”
