Greek organizations, in addition to other alumni groups, are taking advantage of the excellent facilities and services of Pfenning Alumni Center.

At Homecoming, for example, the Kappa Sigma, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and Sigma Chi fraternities held reunions in separate sections of the Wilson Room, enjoying a complete tailgate menu and drinks.

“These alumni had a wonderful time getting together at Homecoming,” says Sherri Jones, director of alumni affairs. “We would love to see more Greek alumni groups return to campus for their own reunions in our wonderful facilities at Pfenning. Our staff is enthusiastic about helping make these events happen.”

A fraternity alumni group is tentatively scheduled to hold an event in Pfenning next month, and another may have a private dinner there during Reunion Weekend.

Greek organizations and other alumni groups interested in holding events in Pfenning should contact the Office of Alumni Affairs, alumni@lafayette.edu, (610) 330-5040 in Pennsylvania, 1-800-LAFAYETTE elsewhere.

This school year, Lafayette Alumni of the Lehigh Valley has held its annual football forum and reception for accepted students in Pfenning, as well as executive committee meetings. Other recent events in Pfenning have included Reunion planning meetings and the Lafayette-Lehigh Week Alumni Phonathon.

The Robert E. ’32 and Hazel E. Pfenning Alumni Center was dedicated Sept. 14, 2002. The 17,500-square-foot center gives alumni a central, convenient home on campus. It includes an assembly room for meetings, pre-game luncheons, committee sessions, and alumni banquets and forums. It has capacity of 150 people for seated dining.
