SynchroMotion, Lafayette’s student dance company, presents its 2nd annual Spring Performance showcasing student-choreographed work 8 p.m. Friday, March 23 in the Williams Center for the Arts.
The program will consist of modern, tap, hip hop, acrobatics, jazz, ballroom, and lyrical dance styles.
SynchroMotion is open to the Lafayette community and does not hold auditions. Members meet twice a week in the exercise studios of Kirby Sports Center for student run dance classes and rehearsals. The group contributes to dance opportunities such as master classes taught by visiting artists at the Williams Center, and recreation services’ beginner and intermediate classes in Latin, jazz, ballet, swing, and hip hop.
The group also hosts the annual “So You Think You Can Dance” competition, which is modeled after the Fox TV series.
