The College Orchestra will present its Spring Concert 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22 in the Williams Center for the Arts. The concert is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Stephani Bell, the program will contain an eclectic mix of works from various time periods with numerous student solos.

The concert opens with chamber music from the Renaissance featuring Xin Wu ’08 (Easton, Pa.) on violin; Adel Lomibao ’08 (Easton, Pa.) on cello; and Lauren Timpson ’08 (Narvon, Pa.), Clara Fisher ’10 (San Jose, Calif.), and Kristin Gilman ’09 (Farmington, Conn.) on viola.

The next piece, Antonio Vivaldi’s “Concerto No.11 for two violins and cello and strings,” will feature Teruhisa Haruguchi ’07 (Saitamashi, Japan) on violin I, Corrine Casey ’07 (Staten Island, N.Y.) on violin II, and Lomibao on cello.

The concert closes with a medley of songs by John Williams from the films Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, and Angela’s Ashes, followed by Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony.
