See the Reunion web site for online registration, the full schedule and event descriptions, an online video of Reunion 2006 highlights, photos, news stories, a downloadable PDF of the Reunion brochure, the list of those who have registered to attend, and additional information, including class contacts.

Friday morning’s itinerary include a golf outing, the start of gallery hours at the Williams Center for the Arts and Williams Visual Arts Building, open recreation at Kirby Sports Center (7 a.m.-5 p.m.), College Store hours (8:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), and three talks for Reunion College: President Dan Weiss, “Teaching Medieval Art in the Modern World: Finding Meaning and Relevance in a Lost Era”; Ilan Peleg, Charles A. Dana Professor of Government and Law, “The Iraq War: A Perfect Failure or a Reasonable Gamble?”; writer and producer Andrea Cohen Malamut ’78, “The Light Comedy of Andrea Cohen Malamut ’78 and her Domestic Import.” A complimentary luncheon will be served.

Friday afternoon will feature a showcase of Pennsylvania Artists on Tour, with performers in music, dance, and theater. Also on tap Friday afternoon and evening are activities for the 50-Plus Club, the Classes of 1957 and 1967, and Delta Upsilon Fraternity alumni; the dedication/open house of Bourger Varsity Football House in Fisher Field at Fisher Stadium; and the All-College Dinner on the Quad.

Student-guided campus tours will be offered 1-3 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

Friday night offers a choice between a screening of To Kill a Mockingbird, starring Gregory Peck, and the Reunion Social, featuring a jazz performance by Skip Wilkins, assistant professor of music, and his quintet, which recently released an album that has received favorable reviews.

Kirby Sports Center, the College Store, and the galleries will again be available on Saturday, which starts with an open breakfast, a separate breakfast (by invitation only) honoring volunteers, and the Reunion Run. The Alumni Association invites all alumni to attend its annual meeting at 9:30 p.m., followed by a College update from President Weiss.

A family picnic and Delta Tau Delta picnic at noon will precede Saturday Reunion Forums: “Birth Order & Family Dynamics,” with Susan Averett, Dana Professor and head of economics & business, who has shared this research on The Today Show; “the Educated Philanthropist,” with Bonnie Winfield, director of the Landis Community Outreach Center, sponsored by the Class of 1982; and “Beating Swords into Plowshares: The Opening of Lafayette College, 1832,” with Diane Shaw, College archivist.

Many other activities will be held Saturday afternoon, including:

  • an open-boathouse event hosted by the crew team,
  • a college search workshop for children of alumni sponsored by the Office of Admissions,
  • a guided walking tour of campus trees,
  • a demonstration at Kirby Sports Center’s rock climbing wall,
  • a concert by The Graduates,
  • McKelvy House tours and refreshments,

  • the annual Marquis Society/Porter Society reception (by invitation only).

Catholic Mass will begin 5 p.m. Saturday, as will separate children’s programs for infants through five year olds and ages six and older, lasting until midnight. Cocktail parties and dinners for individual classes and the 50-Plus Club will take place in the evening, and at 9 p.m. the All-College Saturday Night Social will feature Philadelphia Funk Authority. A movie night again will start at 9 p.m., showing Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Brunch will be served Sunday morning and the College Store will be open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Alumni will gather in the morning for a community service project in Easton. Also on Sunday, Lafayette will host the fourth annual Lauren’s First and Goal Football Camp from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The one-day, non-contact clinic is open to students entering grades 9-12 in fall 2007. Proceeds support pediatric brain tumor research and cancer services.

Complimentary services will include a campus shuttle all weekend and coffee, beer, wine, other beverages, and light snacks at Gilbert’s CafĂ© Friday and Saturday.

Online registration will be available in March through the Reunion web page on the alumni web site. The Reunion web page will provide a continually updated listing of all classmates who have registered to attend.

Alumni are invited to start reconnecting with classmates before Reunion even starts by joining Lafayette’s Alumni Online Community and posting a personal update and favorite Lafayette memories in a class note. The service is free, secure, and for Lafayette alumni only. Visit the alumni web site and click on the Alumni Online Community icon.
