All Access Pass to Easton brings students into the community
Lafayette students, families, and visitors will be able to become more familiar with the rich landscape of Easton’s business community thanks to this year’s All Access Pass to Easton, Pa.
Created by the Easton Business Association (EBA) in cooperation with Lafayette, the booklet provides discounts and promotions at 39 local businesses.
“This incentive-based program gives people 39 reasons to go into the community, to explore businesses, and to take advantage of what Easton has to offer,” says Paul Luongo, EBA treasurer.
The Lafayette All Access Pass, whose promotions run from August 2007 – August 2008, is the last of three All Access Passes to Easton that have been published this summer. In early July, an All Access Pass designed for visitors to the State Theatre was released and, in early August, an All Access Pass was released for visitors to the Crayola Factory.
The program is unique because each business involved has the opportunity to customize their incentive. For example, a restaurant may offer a promotion for a free dessert in the Crayola booklet while a discount on late night appetizers might be more appropriate in the Lafayette booklet. As a result, the businesses are able to benefit while pleasing a certain demographic.
This is the second year that the All Access Pass has been produced and it is not profit-based. It is made possible by EBA and private contributions. “This is an opportunity to promote and sustain Easton’s small businesses and I would love to get even more energy into the program next year,” says Luongo.
The All Access Passes will be distributed to students and be available on campus during the upcoming months.
“Lafayette has been a wonderful partner with EBA and we truly value that relationship. The College has been a great help with making and distributing the All Access Passes,” says Luongo.
