Nicole Magnant Morrissey ’98 is proud to have served as class Reunion chair for the past 10 years. Morrissey, a psychology graduate, is looking forward to seeing old friends and “revisiting what life was like back in our late teens/early twenties.”
Melissa C. Ellis ’98, an economics & business and psychology graduate, is also excited to catch up with old friends on campus. Both she and her husband, Jonathan Ellis ’98, are looking forward to seeing the campus since they have not had the opportunity to visit often. The Ellises decided to get involved with the planning of their 10-year Reunion because they were very active as students and wanted to continue to be involved.
“We enjoyed our experiences at Lafayette so much and want to make sure that the Reunion is well attended by our classmates,” says Melissa Ellis.
Morrissey’s fondest memory of past Reunions is hanging out with her friends at night at College Hill Tavern. She says that CHT is a lot nicer than when she was at Lafayette. Unfortunately, Melissa Ellis was unable to attend their five-year Reunion, but she is looking forward to this year’s Reunion and making many memories.
Both Morrissey and Ellis stress that their fellow classmates should attend this year’s Reunion. According to Morrissey, it is a way to rekindle friendships that may have been interrupted during life after graduation. She also states that the classmates all have changed so much in the past 10 years and it is nice to get together for an event that unites them.
“Many of us did different sports, clubs, social groups; however, we are all coming together to celebrate the one thing we all share in common, graduating from Lafayette College together,” says Morrissey.
Ellis believes that there will be a great turnout for their 10th Reunion this summer.
“How often do we get to pretend we are back in College?” she adds.
