Clambake tailgate,  football, and alumni gatherings among many events on tap
A clambake tailgate under the big tent and evening football vs.  Penn will be among the highlights of Homecoming Saturday, Sept. 27.
The tailgate, with steamed clams, barbecue chicken, hot dogs, fresh  salads, and more, will include children’s activities and visits from  cheerleaders and the Leopard along with performances by student a  cappella ensembles and the alumni band. Alumni of Chi Phi, Delta Tau  Delta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Kappa Sigma, Kappa Delta Rho, and Sigma Chi  fraternities will hold private receptions before the football game.
Student guides will lead walking tours of campus, and members of  Friends of Lafayette Football will guide tours of Bourger Varsity  Football House. The admissions office will conduct an information  session and tour for college-bound children of alumni.
Bill Streeter ’74, executive director of the Delaware Valley  Raptor Center, will do a presentation with live eagles, owls, and hawks.  Campus exhibitions will feature the photography of George Panichas, Hogg Professor of Philosophy; the Williams Center for the Arts’ 25th  anniversary; and Skillman Library’s Hugh Moore Dixie Cup Company  Collection.
Homecoming will feature gatherings of Arts Society alumni, past  Student Government presidents, and the Eric R. Thorpe ’89 Memorial Fund  for Community Service as well as an alumni lacrosse game.
The volleyball team will host Holy Cross on Saturday. Alumni lacrosse  and baseball games will be played that day as well. Volleyball, women’s  soccer, and field hockey will all be in action on campus Friday  evening, Sept. 26.
