The Fifth annual Garlic Fest will be Oct. 4
Enjoy free garlic delicacies, chef challenges, cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment, and specialty vendors at Garlic Fest 2008 held Oct. 4 in Easton’s Centre Square.
Running from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., the annual festival is hosted by the Easton Farmers Market and presented by The Morning Call.
You won’t want to miss the Chef’s Showcase, featuring chefs from Wegmans and Sagre Cooking, as well as celebrity chef cook-offs, in which the masters will prepare a gourmet garlic dish to be judged by surprise celebrity panelists. Local shops will also provide free food samples and promotions.
The first 300 people in line will get to sample 11 local chefs’ odiferous creations and vote for the stinking best in The Morning Call’s Gastric Garlic People’s Choice Award contest. There is a $5 entry fee for this event.
Enter the 2009 Garlic Fest poster contest to win a $50 State Theatre gift card and have your design featured on the 2009 Easton Garlic Fest collectible art poster. Other designs may be selected for Easton Garlic Fest collectible T-shirts.
