Seminar for students will be held Nov. 10

The Robert B. and Helen S. Meyner Center will host a career seminar for students from 7 – 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10 in room104 Kirby Hall. Professionals from various branches of the public sector will highlight numerous career opportunities available in state and local government. The event is co-sponsored by the government and law department and the Policy Studies program.
Special guest presenters include: Lynn Bush, executive director of the Bucks County Planning Commission; the Honorable Robert Freedberg ’66, Pennsylvania Superior Court Judge; Jon Hammer, township manager for Bethlehem Township; Robert Lieber, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development in New York City; Angela Stalnecker, executive director of the Pennsylvania House Tourism and Recreational Development Committee; and Robin Wiessmann ’75, Treasurer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Presenters will speak for approximately 10 minutes each, describing what they do in their current roles, their educational and professional backgrounds, and the skills and experience needed to pursue a career in their respective fields. This will be followed by a 30 minute question and answer session, after which time refreshments will be served.
