The 2008 President’s Report and a Lives of Liberty banner receive national recognition
Two of the College’s graphic design projects have received national recognition with 2009 American Inhouse Design Awards. The 2008 President’s Report and a Lives of Liberty lecture series banner, which was designed for the College’s celebration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the Marquis de Lafayette, have been honored. The projects were designed by Donna Kneule, art director for periodicals and special projects in Public Information.
The American Inhouse Design Awards are sponsored by Graphic Design USA magazine and represent the original and premier showcase for work by corporate and institutional inhouse departments. The awards recognize creative projects produced by marketing and communications departments within corporations, publishing houses, nonprofits, universities, and government agencies.
There were more than 4,000 entries in this year’s program from all over the country and fewer than 400 departments are being honored. The designs will be published in the 300-page American Inhouse Awards Design Annual—which serves as the July/August edition of Graphic Design USA.
