Local and student artists are invited to draw, paint, sculpt, and create during the 12-hour figure study marathon being held from noon-midnight Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Williams Visual Arts Building.
Ten male and female models at three modeling stations will inspire artists with poses ranging from short and dynamic gestures to extended poses, including portrait studies. Tables, easels, drawing horses, and basic drawing supplies will be available.
The event is sponsored by the art department’s Community-Based Teaching Program and fine-arts model Patricia Sonne. Beverages will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring food to share.
Registration is required. The model fee for the day is $40 per artist. Students can attend for free if they register up to Oct. 9, or for $10 after Oct. 9. To register, contact Sonne at (610) 216-5707.
