EASTON, Pa., July 15, 2010 — Alumni chapters bring together Lafayette graduates, parents, and friends to begin and renew friendships with one another and strengthen bonds to the College. They enjoy sports outings, luncheons and dinners featuring faculty or alumni speakers, networking events, museum trips, welcoming receptions for incoming students, events with President Daniel H. Weiss, service projects, tailgates, happy hours, and other activities. Below is a list of chapters along with their primary contact persons and activities. Alumni runners led by Jonathan Glick ’05 broke away from the pack at this year’s Stratton Faxon Fairfield Road Race (a half marathon and 5-K) June 27 at Jennings Beach in Fairfield.
Martin hosted the annual wine-tasting party June 18 at Spiritus Wines in Hartford. Proprietors Gary Dunn ’88 and Jennifer Gardner Dunn ’88 recently returned from France and presented French wines and a variety of cheeses. Last year, the Dunns discussed Spanish wines.

Kate Randazzo ’87 led the chapter in celebrating the reestablishment of the Princeton chapter with a happy hour and social networking event June 10 at BT Bistro.

Caron Anderson ’73 is coordinating Rails and Riverboats: Relive the Golden Age of Transportation 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21. The trip will include a one-hour ride on the M&H Railroad, departing from Middletown and riding along the Swartara Creek aboard a 1920s vintage Delaware, Lackawanna & Western coach. The group will eat lunch at the Eat N Park Restaurant in Swartara before completing the day with a 45-minute tour of the scenic Susquehanna River Valley aboard the Pride of the Susquehanna authentic paddle wheeler. Robert S. Mattison, Marshall R. Metzgar Professor of Art, will present a lecture on his most recent book, Arshile Gorky: Works, Writings, Interviews, 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Skillman Library. Mattison has written five books and 70 articles and exhibition catalogs on modern art. He is the recipient of the Marquis Distinguished Teaching Award, Sears-Roebuck Award for teaching and scholarship, Jones Award, and Jones Lecture Award.
