Lafayette concluded its celebration of Black Heritage Month with its finale performance night in Farinon College Center. Hosted by the Association of Black Collegians, the event had a range of performances including singing, dancing, acting, poetry, and music.

Black Heritage Month Finale
The celebration’s keynote talk was presented by television host and activist Marc Lamont Hill, who discussed contemporary politics and African American leadership. Other events included art exhibits, a research symposium on diversity, a musical residency, discussion forums, and lectures. Another highlight was Curlee Raven Holton: A Visit to My House, A Personal and Public Narrative, which will run through March 29 in the Williams Center Gallery. The exhibit is a 30-year retrospective of paintings and prints by Holton, David M. ’70 and Linda Roth Professor of Art and founding director of the Experimental Printmaking Institute.
