Linda Assante Carrasco ’90, a partner with Jasper Ridge Partners investment management firm in Menlo Park, Calif., was elected to the Board of Trustees May 24 and will begin a four-year term July 1.

Formerly Oak Hill Investment Management, Jasper Ridge Partners provides discretionary investment management services and customized solutions to prominent families, foundations, and global institutions. The firm manages approximately $10 billion across all major asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate, natural resources, public equity, and fixed income.  Carrasco’s primary responsibility is for manager selection and portfolio construction in real assets.

Prior to joining Jasper Ridge Partners, Carrasco was a principal with The Townsend Group, responsible for advising clients on constructing real estate investment portfolios, including the sourcing and evaluation of investment managers. She was also responsible for maintaining the firm’s expertise in Asian real estate. Previously, she was a vice president of JPMorgan and its head of West Coast Real Estate, Lodging & Gaming Investment Banking.

For Lafayette, Carrasco has served as a board associate since 2011, a member of the Development and Alumni Relations Committee, and a member of the West Coast Advisory Council. She has hosted students for externships through Lafayette Career Services. In 2012, she and her husband Marc established the Global Learning and Community Engagement Fund. She graduated with an A.B. in economics and business.

Carrasco served as a member of the editorial advisory boards of the Domestic, High Return and Global publications of the Institutional Real Estate Letter, is an active member of the Pension Real Estate Association, and serves as a board member of the James Campbell Company, a private real estate firm based in Hawaii.

She resides in Moraga, Calif., with her husband and two children.
