Student Broadcast Explores Immigration and Cybersecurity on PBS

Lafayette Lens, a student-run production created in partnership with WLVT Channel 39, the Lehigh Valley PBS affiliate, will air four times in May on PBS. The two new 30-minute segments are produced by students under the guidance of Nicole Crain, associate director and visiting professor of the IDEAL Center, and Mark Crain, Simon Professor of Political Economy and chair of policy studies.
“The Value of PII” takes a look at personally identifiable information and the recent surge in cyberattacks and security breaches. It will run at 7 p.m. May 5 and 4:30 p.m. May 10.
“If I Leave” examines Latin American immigration and its relevance for residents of the Lehigh Valley. It will run at 7:30 p.m. May 5 and 5 p.m. May 10.
