Jenn RossmanJenn Rossmann, professor of mechanical engineering and co-director of the Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education and Studies, provided insights about the racial bias embedded in technology with Lehigh Valley PBS39 public media.

Rossman shared how both lack of diversity in the tech industry and algorithms generated from user behavior can be contributing factors.

“The biggest mistake we’re making is entrusting machines to make decisions that ought to have some diverse human judgement applied to them,” said Rossmann.
