Adam Biener

Adam Biener, assistant professor of economics, was one of several national experts quoted in an Oct. 6 American Heart Association News article about how fear of discrimination and stigma affects mental health care among Black and Hispanic people.

In the article, Biener, who specializes in health economics, suggests that mental health screenings be integrated into primary care. He notes that patients rarely talk about mental health when they see their primary doctor.
