Annual Earth Day celebration brings together more than 40 organizations from campus and the community
Throughout April, the College’s Office of Sustainability partnered with organizations and departments across campus to celebrate Earth Month. Four weeks of engaging activities and educational events aimed to inspire the Lafayette community to take action to support sustainability, environmental justice, and climate solutions. The events culminated with EarthFest on Earth Day. Members of the local community joined the campus community on the Quad for a pop-up thrift shop, student research poster presentations, and bicycle-powered smoothie maker. More than 40 organizations from campus and the community participated, and WFMZ-TV covered the event (see the segment).
The Office of Sustainability leads Lafayette College in advancing sustainability initiatives, transforming innovative ideas into meaningful solutions, and cultivating a culture committed to building a just, equitable world.
