Update: The Aug. 30 movie screening is postponed to Aug. 31

Easton and surrounding community members of all ages joined Lafayette students, faculty, and staff on the College’s Quad for a free starlit screening of Spiderman: No Way Home on July 13. The event—where attendees also enjoyed free popcorn—marked the kickoff of Lafayette Movies on the Quad, a no-charge summer film screening series that’s open to the public.

Check out photos and a video of last night’s festivities below, and mark your calendar: The series will continue with screenings July 26 (Encanto), Aug. 9 (Jumanji), and Aug. 30 (Remember the Titans). In case of rain, each screening will move to the following night (July 27, Aug. 10. Aug. 31). A regularly updated list of movies and screening dates is also available on Lafayette’s Events Calendar.

Don’t forget to bring a cozy blanket or folding chair, and your favorite movie snacks! (Please note that alcohol is not permitted, and attendees are welcome to park their vehicles at any of Lafayette’s parking lots.)

Lafayette Movies on the Quad—which is organized by the College’s Division of Campus Life, Lafayette College Athletics, and the President’s Office—is an exciting part of President Nicole Farmer Hurd’s initiative to bring Lafayette and Easton together as one.
