Annual Volunteer Awards honors more than 20 alumni, classes, and groups who have given of their time, talents, and resources to support Lafayette students.
The Alumni Association held its annual Volunteer Awards Oct. 22 to recognize those who volunteer their time and/or provide philanthropic support to the College. Lafayette volunteers demonstrate their commitment by generously serving in a number of volunteer roles from alumni admissions ambassadors, class correspondents, internship and externship hosts, and more. Ultimately, their work enhances Admissions efforts and the educational experience of students.
Alumni Association Board President Michael Weisburger ’82 was one of several individuals who presented awards during the event. Weisburger thanked the award recipients and explained that wearing Lafayette gear is one of the most impactful ways to spark conversations with alumni, parents, and friends to spread the word about Lafayette. He experienced that firsthand recently in Boston when he met the CEO of Crayola. “I felt the same energy that he felt. That’s what we’re about. That’s what YOU are all about. Thank you for all that you do for Lafayette!”
