Lafayette joins national program to practice proper recycling and waste minimization strategies.
Lafayette College was featured in a Feb. 1 article by WFMZ-69 News about its participation in Campus Race to Zero Waste, a national competition to reduce waste and increase recycling on college campuses. This year’s challenge began on Jan. 29 and runs till March 25.
The article quoted Lafayette interns with the Office of Sustainability and Samantha Smith, sustainability outreach and engagement manager, about the efforts being made to practice proper recycling and waste minimization strategies, specifically at the Lafayette men’s basketball game on Feb. 1 vs. Navy. The Office of Sustainability is partnering with the Department of Athletics, Dining Services, and Facilities Operations in the program.
