Proponents of scientific racism are helping fund events such as the Natal Conference, which is devoted to discussing declining birth rates, he tells NPR
Prof. Michael Feola was quoted in an April 25 National Public Radio article about policy proposals to promote higher birth rates in the United States and the pronatalism movement that’s backing them.
In one section of the in-depth article, Feola, associate professor, government and law and author of The Rage of Replacement: Far Right Politics and Demographic Fear, was asked to comment on the “great replacement” theory supported by some pronatalism proponents. It subscribes to the belief that populations of nonwhite individuals are being brought into the United States and other Western countries to “replace” white populations.
Among other points, he told NPR that it’s no surprise that proponents of scientific racism are helping fund events such as the Natal Conference, which is devoted to discussing declining birth rates.
