Pard pride arrived on the west coast this weekend, when more than 150 members of the Lafayette College community gathered in Oregon for the College’s first installment of “Students, Faculty, and the Power of &.” Guests cheered on Lafayette football and learned how our student-athletes excel with the help of our talented faculty—in the classroom and on the field.

President Nicole Hurd and Director of Athletics Sherryta Freeman, as well as other staff members from the College, were in attendance to welcome alumni, family, and friends of the College.

“This is our first regional event of the Bicentennial where we are displaying the academic excellence of the college alongside our commitment to providing our student athletes the ability to compete in exciting venues,” shared President Hurd. “I am so grateful that our Lafayette family on the west coast can witness the brilliance of our faculty, represented by award winning Prof. Chip Nataro and his student mentee, our 2025 Pepper prize winner, Tyler Roberts. It is also wonderful to support our football program which Tyler was part of and see so many people have direct engagement with the College at this special moment.”
