WalletHub recently published a story about the serious economic consequences that result from gambling addiction, resulting from a study of data to determine in which states it is most prevalent. Derek Smith, professor of mathematics, provided insights about the expanded legalization of gambling. Smith has taught a course at the College that examines if the proliferation of gambling is good for society.
