For 117 Lafayette students, the world was their classroom in January
By: Madeline Marriott ’24
From Hawaiian volcanoes to Portuguese factories to Senegalese cities, these students and their faculty and staff mentors had a chance to explore the educational opportunities thousands of miles from College Hill.
“We’re very proud to work with faculty and staff at Lafayette to offer a rich diversity of programs in terms of their subject matter and locations,” says Rochelle Keesler, director of study abroad programs. “These programs allow Lafayette students to immerse themselves in unfamiliar contexts while examining important ideas. Students return from these programs with new insights into themselves, and the topics and places they studied.”
