My research focuses on: Applied numerical analysis with a focus on efficient numerical methods for solving large linear systems and eigenvalue problems arising in science and engineering.

This fall, I am teaching: Nothing yet! I am on maternity leave until spring 2026.

What students can expect from me: I absolutely love to teach, love even more when my students successfully learn from me, but love the most when they are excited and inspired. My students can expect that I will plan my lectures and engage with them both in and out of the classroom with these passions as my guiding principles.

Getting to know me: I enjoy rock climbing and hiking. My favorite places to climb are Grayson Highlands (bouldering) and the New River Gorge (sport). My favorite hike is the Garibaldi Lake Trail in British Columbia, and my most frequented hike is McAfee Knob along the Appalachian Trail in southwest Virginia. For Christmas this past year, my husband, whom I met at a climbing gym, built us a bouldering wall in our garage. We like to set routes for each other and, of course, climb them! We’re looking forward to exploring more of the northeast outdoor scene and finding new favorite places to hike and climb a little closer to home.
