Campus event featured red carpet photos, dancing, and festive food

The Bicentennial Village provided the backdrop, and Questlove and DJ Babey Drew brought the music at the Student Bicentennial Ball on Oct. 21.
Students, dressed to impress, celebrated a memorable night on the Quad, kicked off by a brief introduction from Lafayette College President Nicole Hurd. There was plenty of time for photos and delectable desserts throughout the night. DJ Babey Drew was featured in the initial set on the Bicentennial Village stage.
Questlove, the Academy Award-winning filmmaker, drummer, DJ, producer, director, culinary entrepreneur, and New York Times bestselling author, performed a 90-minute set before a packed dance floor. The Roots member worked the crowd through different decades and various genres of music.
All photos from the event will be available until Nov. 15 at this gallery.
Bicentennial events continue throughout the fall, including Homecoming and Rivalry Weekend on campus Nov. 20-21, and the annual New York Holiday Party on Dec. 10 at New York Public Library’s flagship location in midtown Manhattan.
