As executive vice president of Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corporation, a publicly owned equity real estate investment trust, Cynthia J. Morgenstern '91 is responsible for capital raising, acquisitions, financing, and strategic planning and operational issues. The corporation specializes in net leased industrial properties and holds an equity portfolio comprising 29 industrial properties and one shopping center in 18 states.
President Eugene W. Landy said, “Cindy's expertise and dedicated experience in commercial real estate are of great value to our company. Her promotion to executive vice president is directly aligned with this company's commitment to continued growth and profitability.” “My position is very diverse and dynamic,” Morgenstern says. “Because this is a smaller company, I'm involved with anything from dealing with the SEC to finance and staffing. Real estate is fascinating to me because it combines the abstract world of finance with the very concrete world of bricks and mortar.”
Morgenstern, who joined Monmouth early in 2001, was previously a vice president of Summit Bank's commercial real estate division. She has also been affiliated with Fleet Bank and Midlantic National Bank. An English graduate, she holds an M.B.A. from Monmouth University.
