As vice chairman of the board and a general manager of Arrow International, Inc., Carl G. Anderson Jr. '67 is responsible for worldwide sales, marketing, research, and development of critical care products. Headquartered in Reading, Pa., the company develops, manufactures, and markets a broad range of clinically advanced, disposable catheters, and related products for critical and cardiac care.
A mechanical engineering graduate and member of Lafayette's Board of Trustees, Anderson holds an M.B.A. from Lehigh University. He credits his undergraduate engineering studies with helping to instill the intellectual discipline that has served him well in a variety of management roles. “In running a technically complex business, I may not always fully understand my engineers and scientists, but I can keep up,” he says.
A director of Arrow since 1998, Anderson has served the past four years as president and CEO of ABC School Supply, Inc., and earlier was employed by both James River Corporation and Nestle Foods Corporation as a vice president and division general manager. Prior to these positions, he held several marketing management posts at Procter & Gamble.
