As part of Lafayette’s celebration of Black History Month, the Lafayette African and Caribbean Students Association and the Office of Intercultural Development will sponsor a second African Markets 111 a.m.-3 p.m. today in the Farinon Center atrium.
LACSA member Emefa Woananu ’03 has organized the event to expose Lafayette students to items associated with or made in Africa and the Caribbean. The market will consist of independent vendors from Easton and several surrounding cities, including New York, Allentown, and East Stroudsburg, selling Afro-Caribbean clothing, jewelry, and cultural artifacts. Food and drinks will be available, and ethnic music will be played.
A prior African Market was held Feb. 6. For more information, contact Woananu at 610-438-3265.
