The public is cordially invited to join in a day-long celebration of the arts at Lafayette’s new Williams Visual Arts Building on Tuesday, April 24.
The high-tech, $3.5 million art studio and gallery complex at 243 North Third Street, where the Lafayette campus meets downtown Easton, opened in January. It is benefiting both the College and the community.
“The Williams Visual Arts Building is enabling our academic programs in art to advance to a new level,” says Lafayette President Arthur J. Rothkopf ’55. “It is also a valuable new bridge between the campus and Easton, underscoring Lafayette’s commitment to the revitalization of the downtown business core. It includes community art education programs and a spacious gallery for exhibits by regional artists, as well as shows by Lafayette and guest artists.”
The schedule for April 24:
Due to limited parking at the Williams Visual Arts Building, shuttle service will be offered on a continuous basis from the Easton Parking Garage at South Third and Pine streets. The shuttle will board passengers on the Pine St. side of the garage.
Shuttle service will also be offered from the Lafayette campus. Limited on-campus parking locations will include the deck behind Markle Hall on High St. and lots on Sullivan Lane. Shuttle stops will be marked.
Handicapped parking will be available adjacent to the Williams Building.
