Economics and business graduate Marc L. Preminger ’71 has been elected to the board of directors of Inhibitex, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company that develops and commercializes “first in field” antibody-based products for the treatment and prevention of staphylococcal and other bacterial and fungal infections.

After a 26-year career with Cigna Healthcare, Preminger retired in 2002 as its senior vice president and chief financial officer. In addition to his role as a director of Inhibitex, he will serve as chairman of the company’s audit committee.

He received a master’s in actuarial science from Georgia State University.
